Welcome to our Kakejiku shop section

We are pleased to bring you our unique and traditional Kakejiku Reiki Precept Scroll (Gokai) as originally written by Dr Mikao Usui (*see footnote). This scroll can clearly be seen hung and used by Dr Chujiro Hayashi and Mrs HawayoTakata throughout their demonstrations and lectures in Hawaii 1937-38. We currently offer two versions available for sale.

  • A unique ‘Traditional Kakejiku Precept Scroll’ (Gokai) made in Japan using traditional methods with calligraphy kanji, silk fabrics, paper and glue. The Kanji calligraphy is the traditional Kanji as written by Dr Mikao Usui. Reiki Tradition researched this Gokai scroll and kakejiku for over 12 months to locate a traditional calligrapher who was able to write in the old style kanji. We then sought a kakejiku maker to manufacture the scrolls for us.

The scroll is presented in a paulownia wood box to keep the scroll safe and secure when not hung. This can be further protected in an outer sleeve box (please see photo below). This traditional Kakejiku scroll measures 67” high x 18” wide.

NB: Please be advised not to hang the scroll where air conditioning is being used as this may damage the scroll.

We supply a FREE English translation to enable you to clearly read the Kakejiku.

  • Alternatively, we can supply a Photoshop version of the Kakejiku Reiki Precept Scroll (Gokai). This scroll is printed onto 180gm satin paper and is comprised of:

  • Makio ‘wrapping cord’

  • Kakeo ‘hanging cord’

  • Kan ‘ring track’

  • Hassou ‘hanging top fitting’

  • Jikubou ‘roller rod’.

The Photoshop version measures 54” high x and 18” wide and is delivered in a cardboard parcel tube. We can supply a paulownia wood storage box for these at an additional cost.

We supply a FREE English translation to enable you to clearly read the Kakejiku.

Both scrolls will complement any healing room, training room, or healing centre. Our

traditional Kakejiku Precept Scrolls and paulownia boxes are manufactured in Japan.

Traditional Kakejiku Precept Scrolls are specially manufactured to order so please allow between 6-8 weeks lead time. Drying times for the glue used in manufacture takes around 3 weeks in Japan and delivery to the UK between 3 and 4 weeks.

NB: All import tax and handling fees are inclusive in the price.

All our Reiki Masters have an understanding of the history of the Gokai. It is an honour to hang one of these scrolls and we maintain a register of owners.

* Please note these scrolls are not on general sale. Scrolls may only be ordered by Reiki Masters

   who trained with Reiki Tradition.
